Erica’s dedication to advocacy and public service has earned her national recognition. She was named one of the 40 Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40 by the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association (2015) for her passionate advocacy for marriage equality and extensive pro bono contributions. She remains actively involved in community development and legal aid, volunteering with Historic Dupont Circle Main Streets and the Dupont Circle Business Improvement District and serving on the Legal Counsel for the Elderly’s attorney referral panel. A graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University (2003), Erica was actively involved in various student organizations, serving as a Research Assistant for Professor Melanie Leslie in Trusts & Estates, a member of the Online Journal of Conflict Resolution, and a contributor to the Law Revue student parody show. She also holds a B.A. in Public Affairs from American University, graduating with honors. While there, she completed internships with The Mautner Project, the Human Rights Campaign, the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, and Curve Magazine. She is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
